In November 2015, we broke the sensational story that Genuine Scooter Company was going to offer its first motorcycle, the G400C. Our exclusive first ride of the bike got people across the country excited for an affordable, accessible motorcycle to add to their scooter fleet. Since then, we’ve been asked one question more than any other: When will the G400C actually go on sale?
Today we can finally answer that question with some certainty. Our sources at Genuine have confirmed that the G400C has jumped through all its EPA hoops and will go on sale in July. We’re told that this initial batch of bikes will be small, and unfortunately that’s about all the detail we have right now in terms of Genuine’s launch strategy for this bike.
So what should you do if you’ve got your heart set on a G400C? We’d recommend reaching out to your local Genuine dealer and putting down a deposit ASAP. It’s likely this first batch of bikes is going to sell out quickly. For those who don’t have a Genuine Scooter Company dealer nearby, there may yet be a local option for some of you to buy the Genuine motorcycle. Our sources have told us that the G400C will not be exclusively for sale just in Genuine Scooter Company dealers. So your local multi-line motorcycle shop might sell them as well. A dealer locator is one of many things we’d expect when Genuine officially unveils the bike. As of right now, there is no official web presence for the new motorcycle on Genuine’s website or elsewhere that we can find.
Stay tuned. We’ll share more info as we get it.
