On his new show The Layover, rebel chef and author Anthony Bourdain insists that if you’re in Rome, there’s one thing you absolutely must do: ride a scooter. Thing is, his description of why darting around on two wheels in the erstwhile capital of the western world is the best way to go is a list that applies to why scooters are ideal in any urban environment. That he’s running around on a modern, large-wheel scooter rather than a classic Vespa bodes well for his credibility. Tony knows his stuff. He’s ridden BMW motorcycles on No Reservations and even ran around on a scooter in southeast Asia. Way to go Tony, have you got a scooter in your garage?
