This Week in Scooters: Feb 23 – March 1

This week kicked off with F1 star driver Louis Hamilton taking a Roman Holiday on a red Vespa with Nicole Scherzinger as his very own Aurdrey Hepburn. While celebrities are fairly common sights on scooters, we’re intrigued that a proper racing driver would choose a Vespa for his holiday day out.

They say forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest, so we took a quick look at Honda’s 2014 updates to the Integra — a now 750cc maxi-scooter not available in the US market. This second generation Integra features lots of key upgrades.

This week saw three remarkable custom scooters. The first, dubbed The Reaper, is a Genuine Buddy 170i with a laundry list of performance upgrades. The second was a custom Honda C50 Mini Bobber Cub built in Vietnam by Lê Thanh Bình. The third is much like the first, a custom Genuine Roughhouse 50 called Slaughterhouse. In the case of the Genuine customs, click through to ScooterWorks for the full list of upgrade parts.

Lastly, a fun one for everybody’s inner child. We found a full-size LEGO Vespa that’s part of a whole art collection made out of LEGO called “Art, a piece at a time.” The full-size LEGO Vespa could be yours for an easy $22,000.
